How to Remove - Attribution widget from Blogger?

Posted by Arun Kumar Choppara On 23:00 | No comments
If we are using one of the blogger templates then we will have a Attribution widget at the bottom (or footer area) of the template which says "Powered by blogger". We can notice that the widget is locked and cannot be deleted from the blog template unless we make few changes in the blog template HTML code.

We do not need this attribution widget that says "Powered by Blogger" at the bottom of the template.
We can have this widget deleted from the blog after the widget is unlocked by the process mentioned below.

Let us see the process of removing Attribution widget from blogger template.

1. Go to: Dashboard -> Template -> Edit HTML

2. Search for the below code
<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='true' title='' type='Attribution'>

3. Replace "true" with "false" - This will unlock the blogger Attribution widget at the bottom of the blog.

4. Save the Template

5. Go to : Dashboard -> Layout -> Remove the Attribution widget from the blogger layout as shown below.

6. Click "Save Arrangement" and view blog to see the changes.

Now the Attribution widget is removed from the blogger template.
